Tokyo Olympic silver medallist Ravi Kumar Dahiya secured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix De France Henri Deglane wrestling tournament in Nice, France.
Dahiya faced setbacks in the form of injuries, including ACL and MCL injuries to his right knee sustained during practice in February.
The injuries forced him to miss the entire 2023 season, including the Asian Championships in April.
Attempts to compete in national trials for the Asian Games in July were thwarted by aggravated injuries, sidelining him for the rest of the year.
Dahiya's absence meant he missed the crucial World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, a qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The triumphant return to the mat at the Grand Prix De France Henri Deglane marked Dahiya's comeback in the 61kg freestyle category.
Throughout the tournament, Dahiya showcased resilience and skill, making a significant impact in his return to the wrestling arena.
