Star gymnast Dipa Karmakar has been handed a 21-month ban for failing a dope test conducted by the International Testing Agency.
Dipa tested positive for higenamine, a Beta-2 Agonist, which means it is prohibited for consumption at all times, both in and out of competition.
Her ban period will, however, end on July 10 this year as it was counted from the day the sample was collected.
Her last FIG event was the 2019 World Cup in Baku.
International Testing Agency is an independent non-profit organisation that handles anti-doping test procedures for the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
