India, UK begin first-ever joint tri-services exercise ‘Konkan Shakti-2021’

• The first-ever tri-services joint exercise 'Konkan Shakti-2021' between India and the UK began.
• It aims to benefit from each other's experiences while also highlighting the two countries' ongoing cooperation.
• The exercise's maritime component will take place in two stages off India's west coast.
• The harbour phase will be held in Mumbai from October 21 to October 23, followed by the sea phase on October 27.
