  • India on Monday successfully test-fired a long-range ballistic missile on Agni-IV APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. 
  • The missile is nuclear-capable and has a strike range of 4,000 km.
  • Agni and Prithvi are the country’s two main nuclear missiles.
  • It is developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), it can carry a 1,000-kg payload and can go as high as 900 km.
