India has been unanimously elected to the United Nations' Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) for the 2025–2027 term, reflecting its growing role in shaping global financial reporting standards.
ISAR, which operates under UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development), aims to promote global accounting standards and corporate transparency, and India's appointment is a testament to its commitment to transparency and accountability.
