  • Skyroot Aerospace successfully conducted a static fire test of the Kalam-100 engine, which will power the third stage of Vikram-1 launch vehicle.
  • The test demonstrated peak vacuum thrust of 100 kN and featured an advanced flex nozzle for thrust vector control. Skyroot also developed in-house technologies like the Automatic Launch Computer and flight avionics.
  • The Vikram-1 rocket, capable of carrying 480 kg to a 500-km orbit, brings Skyroot closer to becoming one of India’s first private companies to launch an orbital rocket, marking a milestone in India's private space sector.
