India launched its fourth nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, the S4*, with 75% indigenous content and equipped it with Kalam-IV ballistic missiles, enhancing national defence capabilities.
The government plans to build three advanced diesel attack submarines with the French Naval Group to augment the India's naval strength with existing SSBNs like INS Arihant, Arighat, and Aridman.
