India's merchandise and services exports surpassed a record $820 billion in FY 2024–25, marking a 6% increase from $778 billion in the previous fiscal, despite global economic uncertainties.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal praised Indian exporters for achieving this all-time high amid challenges like the Red Sea crisis, the Israel-Hamas conflict, the Russia-Ukraine war, and slow growth in developed economies.
In a meeting with export promotion councils in New Delhi, Goyal informed about the ongoing discussions on the multi-sector bilateral trade agreement (BTA) with the United States.
