As per the Henley Passport Index 2026, India has been placed at the 80th position worldwide, offering visa-free, visa-on-arrival or eTA access to 55 destinations. India shares this ranking with Algeria and Niger, positioning it in the lower half of the global mobility rankings. Notably, India’s rank has improved by five places compared to last year, when it stood at 85th. Singapore continues to top the index with access to 192 destinations, followed by Japan with 188, while several European countries dominate the top 10 with access to over 180 destinations each.
