India is commemorating the 150th anniversary of its national song ‘Vande Mataram’ with countrywide cultural programmes, mass singing, and military band performances. The celebrations aim to promote unity and national pride.
As part of the events, the Indian Air Force Band performed at Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi, on January 21, 2026. The 45-minute performance featured 31 musicians and included renditions of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Sindoor’, a composition honouring the Indian Armed Forces’ Operation Sindoor.
