The Principal Scientific Adviser, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, unveiled the National Technology Readiness Assessment Framework (NTRAF) to provide a unified, evidence-based metric for assessing technology maturity in India. Developed with CII, NTRAF spans 9 Technology Readiness Levels (TRL 1–9), covering proof of concept to operational deployment. The framework aims to bridge gaps between researchers and investors, de-risk early-stage technologies, guide R&D funding, and promote scalable, market-ready innovations across sectors like healthcare, software, and deeptech.
