  • India began its BRICS Chairship 2026 by hosting the first Sherpas and Sous Sherpas meeting in New Delhi on Feb 9–10 under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.” The meeting was chaired by Sudhakar Dalela, with participation from all BRICS members and partner nations. Representatives also met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to discuss priorities.
