  • In November 2022, a team of geologists was sent to Argentina to assess potential lithium deposits.
  • Khanij Bidesh India Ltd. (Kabil), a joint venture between the National Aluminium Company (Nalco), Hindustan Copper (HCL), and Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd., will acquire or lease the mines in Argentina.
  • Argentina is home to large deposits of lithium, a valuable silvery-white alkali metal, in the Atacama region.
