The Himachal Pradesh government took a historic decision on 9 January 2025, in which it approved to rename the state's famous institute 'Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration' (HIPA) after former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla.

Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration will be named after former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh
