Haryana achieved a significant milestone in 2025, with its sex ratio at birth (SRB) rising to 923 females per 1,000 males, up from 910 in 2024. Panchkula led the districts with an SRB of 971, followed by Fatehabad and Panipat. Officials credited strict enforcement of the PC-PNDT Act, including raids on illegal clinics and chemist shops, for curbing gender-biased practices. The improvement reflects sustained administrative efforts and policy initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, strengthening gender equity in the state.
