  • On March 28, 2025, two contracts were signed with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the purchase of 156 indigenous Light Combat Helicopters (LCH), along with training and related equipment, with a total cost of over 62,700 crore rupees, excluding taxes. 
  • The Indian Army will receive 90 helicopters, while the remaining 66 are for the Indian Air Force.
