Government unveils major policy initiatives to boost agriculture sector

The Government of India has launched multiple initiatives, such as the Clean Plant Programme (CPP), Digital Agriculture Mission, and National Mission on Edible Oils, to boost agricultural productivity, farmer incomes, and sustainability.
Clean Plant Programme (CPP): Aims to boost horticultural productivity by providing disease-free planting materials and climate-resilient crop varieties.
Digital Agriculture Mission: Focuses on transforming agriculture through digital infrastructure, crop estimation surveys, and IT-driven tools.
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Expansion: Includes community farming assets, processing units, and integration with PM-KUSUM-A projects.
National Mission on Edible Oils (NMEO-Oilseeds): Seeks to enhance domestic oilseed production with a ₹10,103 crore investment, reducing import dependency.
