  • The government has initiated the invitation of nominations for the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar-2024 in the realms of Science, Technology, and Innovation. The award ceremony is scheduled for National Technology Day on May 11.
  • A total of fifty-six awards will be presented in four categories - Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva, and Vigyan Team. Individuals or teams are eligible, and nominations can be submitted on the Ministry of Home Affairs' Award Portal from 14 January 2024 until the 28th of the following month.
  • Coordination for this year's awards falls under the Ministry of Science and Technology, managed by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
