A S Rajeev, the former Managing Director & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra, has been appointed as the Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) by President Droupadi Murmu.
Rajeev's appointment comes after he voluntarily opted to retire from his position at Bank of Maharashtra last week, a decision that was accepted by the competent authority as per a Department of Financial Services (DFS) letter.
The Central Vigilance Commission, established under the CVC Act, now operates as a three-member body, with Praveen Kumar Srivastava serving as the Central Vigilance Commissioner since May 2023 and Arvinda Kumar as a Vigilance Commissioner since August 2022.
