  • The International Gita Mahotsav will be held in Colombo from March 1, hosted by Sri Lanka's Buddha Sasan, Minister for Religious and Cultural Affairs, Vidura Wickramanayake.
  • The event is aimed at popularising the timeless teachings of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita and will be held at the Neelam Pokuna theatre complex.
  • The three-day festival, sponsored by the Kurukshetra Development Board of Haryana, will include Gita Yajna, Japa, Shobha Yatra, seminars on contemporary topics, competitions and a copy of Srimad Bhagavada Gita will be presented to the Parliament of Sri Lanka on March 4.
