  • Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away in Gurgaon's Medanta Hospital.
  • Yadav (82) was under treatment at the hospital since August 22 and was shifted to the ICU on October 2 and was on ventilator support.
  • The Samajwadi Party (SP) founder and three-time Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav, rose in UP politics in a period of intense social and political ferment after the 1970s.
