  • Ravi Shastri, the former head coach of India's men's cricket team, has been named Commissioner of the Legends League Cricket (LLC), a professional event for retired players expected to debut next year.
  • LLC will have its maiden season in the Gulf in January of next year.
  • The league will feature former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, and England. In which he will represent teams from India, Asia, and the rest of the world.
  • Andrew Leipus, an Australian physiotherapist who previously worked with Team India and the National Cricket Academy, has already joined the league as Director (Sports Science) to oversee the health of all players.
