  • Five and a half crore saplings will be planted in Madhya Pradesh under the 'Ek Tree Maa Ki Naam' campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The campaign was launched by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
  • "In Madhya Pradesh, the 'Ek Tree Maa Ke Naam' campaign is being launched on the birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. In Bhopal district alone, a target has been set to plant 20 lakh saplings in 480 hectare area. 
  • 12 lakh saplings are being planted at various places in Bhopal district.
  •  There is a plan to plant 51 lakh saplings in Indore, the industrial capital of the state and the cleanest city of the country. Till July 15, a campaign 'Ek Tree Maa Ke Naam' is being run on a war footing in all cities and villages of the state.
