  • Professor Urvashi Sinha, a faculty member of light and matter physics at the Raman Research Institute (RRI), was awarded the Gates-Cambridge Impact Prize 2025 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Cambridge, UK, for her contributions to quantum computing and science. 
  • He is one of the eight winners to be honored on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of this award.
  • Professor Sinha's key role is in the National Quantum Mission, which aims to make India globally competitive in quantum technologies and encourage research and development in this field.
