  • The Election Commission of India will host the first India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026 in New Delhi this week.
  • Around 100 delegates from more than 70 countries will attend the three-day event, organised by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM).
  • The conference, to be held at Bharat Mandapam from January 21 to 23, will feature participation from international organisations, foreign missions, and electoral experts. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi will inaugurate the event.
