  • Egyptian archaeologists discovered part of a temple associated with Queen Hatshepsut near Luxor, with rare examples of inscriptions and sculpture.
  • The excavations yielded more than 1,000 decorative blocks and fragments on which rare examples of sculpture from the reign of Hatshepsut and his successor Thutmose III were found.
  • The discovery will provide new information about burial practices during the 12th and 13th dynasties of ancient Egypt and help attract tourists.
