Egyptian archaeologists discovered part of a temple associated with Queen Hatshepsut near Luxor, with rare examples of inscriptions and sculpture.
The excavations yielded more than 1,000 decorative blocks and fragments on which rare examples of sculpture from the reign of Hatshepsut and his successor Thutmose III were found.
The discovery will provide new information about burial practices during the 12th and 13th dynasties of ancient Egypt and help attract tourists.
