  • The Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), the Hyderabad-based laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has taken the initiative to develop long-duration supersonic combustion ramjet or scramjet-powered hypersonic technology. 
  • DRDL has recently developed these technologies and performed the state-of-the-art Active Cooled Scramjet Combuster ground test for 120 seconds for the first time in India. Successful ground test marks a significant milestone in developing next-generation hypersonic missions.
