Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. Vance was sworn in as the 50th Vice President.
In his inauguration address, Trump declared the energy crisis a national emergency and announced a slew of new policies, including ending the "Green New Deal".
President Trump announced the establishment of an "External Revenue Service" to reform the trading system and impose tariffs on foreign countries to protect American workers and industries.
He also presented a plan to rename the "Gulf of Mexico" to the "Gulf of America."
President Trump, at 78, is the oldest person ever inaugurated as president, surpassing Joe Biden, who was five months younger when he took the oath earlier.
