U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 26% tariff on goods imported from India.
He said that India imposes tariffs of up to 52% on the U.S., while the U.S. collects much lower tariffs from India.
This decision is part of the "Make America Wealthy Again" plan and tariffs have been imposed on several countries including China (34%), Vietnam (46%), and Japan (24%).
