  • The Sadar Bazar police station in Delhi has been ranked as the best in the country as part of the annual home ministry exercise to grade police stations based on parameters such as crime handling, infrastructure, and approachability of personnel.
  • The second best police station is Gangapur PS in Ganjam, Odisha, and the third-best was Bhattu Kalan PS in Fatehabad, Haryana.
  • Every year, the Government of India selects the best-performing police stations across the country in order to encourage more effective police station operations and healthy competition among them.
  • The ranking process evaluates police stations based on parameters such as property offenses, crime against women, crime against vulnerable groups, missing person’s cases, infrastructure, approachability of personnel, and citizen feedback, among others.
