The Delhi Government launched the ‘Pink Saheli Smart Card’ to offer free travel for women and transgender passengers in DTC and cluster buses. Issued under the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) framework, it can also be recharged for metro and other transport services. The card, featuring the user’s name and photo, replaces the old pink ticket system, ensuring digital transparency and subsidy tracking. Open for Delhi residents aged 12 and above, registration is available online. Benefiting around 29 lakh commuters, the initiative promotes safe, inclusive, and eco-friendly public transport in the capital.
