  • The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) has launched ‘Bal Mitra’, a WhatsApp Chatbot to provide communication support to children and parents in Delhi.
  • The chatbot, called ‘Bal Mitra’, is an effort to enable two-way communication between people and the child rights panel.
  • The chatbot will help citizens and the commission to interact more effectively.
  • Some of the features of the chatbot include complaint registration, searching information and tracking complaint status, and seeking information on admissions, among others.
  • The DCPCR recently also launched the Early Warning System. 
  • The Education Department of Delhi brought back 50,000 students to schools using the system. The main objective of the system is to reduce dropout rates in Delhi.
