  • Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has been named Asia-Pacific’s Best Airport for Departures (over 40 million passengers category) at the 2025 ASQ Customer Experience Awards by Airports Council International. The recognition is based on passenger feedback under ACI’s globally benchmarked Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme.
  • CSMIA earned praise for smooth terminal access, efficient check-in and security, improved queue management, and enhanced cleanliness standards. Digital initiatives such as DigiYatra biometric e-gates and hybrid self-baggage drop units have strengthened operational efficiency.
  • The airport also integrates culture through its ‘Artbeat of New India’ corridor at Terminal 2, enriching passenger experience. Operated by Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), the airport is the world’s busiest single-runway airport by annual passenger traffic.
