  • Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, while Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
  • The collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice Devendra Upadhyaya of the Allahabad High Court as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court earlier this month.
  • Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur is the brother of former Chief Justice of India TS Thakur.
  • He was appointed as a permanent judge of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court on March 8, 2013.
  • In 2022, he was transferred to the Bombay High Court.
