  • The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) fixed the MSP of raw jute at ₹5,650 per quintal for the 2025-26 marketing season, which is ₹315 higher than the 2024-25 price.
  • The government paid an MSP of ₹1,300 crore to jute growers from 2014-15 to 2024-25, and 40 lakh farm families benefited from the jute industry in this time period.
