Siachen is the highest battlefield in the world.
This site is located in the Karakoram range in Jammu and Kashmir.
Recently Captain Geetika Kaul has been appointed as the Lady Medical Officer in Siachen.
She is the first woman officer to be appointed to this post in Siachen.
Geetika Kaul is an officer of the Snow Leopard Brigade of the Indian Army.
Operation Meghdoot was launched by the Indian Army in the year 1984 to capture Siachen.
