Burhanpur is a district located in Madhya Pradesh.
Recently Burhanpur district has been awarded the 'One District One Product' award for banana processing.
This award was presented at the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Utsav 2024' in New Delhi.
Burhanpur has been given this award for increasing banana production, trade and work in the processing sector.
Banana chips, banana powder, rakhis, decorative items, household items, mats, purses, baskets, doormats and other products are manufactured in Burhanpur district.
Banana packing and grading units have been established in Burhanpur.
Through this, about 20 to 30 metric tons of bananas are exported daily to Dubai, Turkey, Bahrain and other countries.
This award has been given to Burhanpur district under 'One District One Product'.
The 'One District One Product' scheme is being implemented by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
