  • Arunachal Pradesh governor Brig. (Dr) B.D. Mishra (retired) took oath as the governor of Meghalaya in addition to position of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The senior most Judge of the Meghalaya High Court Justice Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew administered the oath of office to Mishra at a function at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Shillong.
  • Mishra replaces Satya Pal Malik, whose tenure expired on October 3.
