US President Joe Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 19 individuals, including Hillary Clinton, Michael J. Fox, Bono, Magic Johnson, and posthumously to Robert F. Kennedy, Ashton Carter, Fannie Lou Hamer, and George Romney, among others.
Lionel Messi was also named a recipient of the prestigious award, but could not attend the ceremony due to scheduling conflicts. Biden expressed gratitude to all recipients for their contributions to shaping America's culture and cause.
