The "most modern" Habibganj railway station in Bhopal has been renamed after Gond queen Rani Kamlapati.
Rani Kamlapati was the widow Gond ruler of Nizam Shah, chief of Ginnorgarh. The Gond community comprises the largest tribal group of India with more than 1.2 crore population.
The renamed and redeveloped railway station is being inaugurated on November 15, the birth anniversary of the iconic 19th-century tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda.
