CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to unveil statue of social justice on January 19
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will unveil a 125-foot statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Swaraj Maidan in Vijayawada.
The statue, constructed at a cost of Rs 404 crore, stands on an 81-foot pedestal, making it a towering 206-feet monument.
The statue is named the 'Statute of Social Justice,' reflecting Dr. Ambedkar's immense contributions to India's social, economic, political, and gender landscapes.
The government recognizes Dr. Ambedkar's enduring principles and has incorporated them into the 'Navaratnalu' initiatives.
The unveiling is scheduled for January 19, marking a momentous occasion to celebrate Dr. Ambedkar's legacy of equality and justice.
