Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch the 'Swechha' programme, with a focus on women's and adolescent girls' health and hygiene.
The state government will provide free sanitary napkins at government educational institutions as part of the initiative. Every month, ten sanitary napkins will be distributed to approximately 10 lakh adolescent girls in grades 7th-12th in all government schools and intermediate colleges across the state.
In addition, quality napkins at reasonable prices will be made available in all YSR Cheyutha stores for women in both urban and rural areas.
