The government has named Anand Mahindra, Ravindra Dholakia, Venu Srinivasan and Pankaj Patel to RBI's board.
These appointments will be for a period of four years.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet gave its nod to these appointments.
Mahindra is the chairman of the Mahindra Group. Patel is chairman of Zydus Lifesciences. Srinivasan is the chairman emeritus of TVS Motor Company. Dholakia, an economist and member of the first monetary policy committee, is a retired professor of IIM-A.
