Recently the Space Research and Development Organization (ISRO) has announced that it will send India's first astronaut to the Moon in the year 2040.
This announcement was made by ISRO Chairman S. Somnath.
Before this, ISRO will establish the country's first indigenous space station by the year 2035.
According to ISRO Chairman, after the success of Chandrayaan-3, work is being done with full enthusiasm on planning to send Indians to the Moon for the first time.
ISRO will launch the country's first manned mission Gaganyaan which will be the first step towards sending humans to the Moon.
