The Odisha Government recently appointed two senior IAS officers as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) in the State Sports Department for the forthcoming Men’s Hockey World Cup scheduled in January next year.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia (2008-batch) has been allowed to remain in the charge of OSD in Rourkela and Raghu G (2011-batch) is the OSD in Bhubaneswar.
