  • 18 products of Uttarakhand will be approved by G in a single day in December, 2023. I. tag has been provided.
  • 18 products in one day. Uttarakhand has become the first state to get I.Tag.
  • The 18 new GI certificates that the state has received include Uttarakhand Chaulai, Jhangora, Mandua, Red Rice, Almora Lakhori Chilli, Berinag Tea, Burans Sharbat, Ramnagar Nainital Litchi, Ramgarh Peach, Malta, Pahari Tor, Gahat, Kala Bhatt, Bicchubooti fabric, Nainital candle, Kumaoni colored Pichhoda, Chamoli Ramman mask and Likhai wood carving are included.
  • Before this, 9 products of Uttarakhand have already been approved by G.I. I. Tag has been received.
  • Now total G. in the state. The number of I.Tag products has increased to 27.
  • 'Darjeeling Tea' is the first Indian product to receive the GI tag in the year 2004.
  • Registration of Geographical Indication is valid for 10 years.
