  • India will commemorate the 10th Defence Forces Veterans’ Day on January 14, 2026, to recognise the courage, sacrifices, and dedicated service rendered by veterans who have served the nation with distinction. The occasion will be marked by a range of programmes and outreach activities organised nationwide to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of former personnel of the Armed Forces.
  • Commemorative events will take place at 34 Rajya Sainik Boards across States and Union Territories and at several locations throughout the country through 434 Zila Sainik Boards. Activities planned for the day include veterans’ rallies, grievance redressal counters, and facilitation desks set up by SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha), the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), and the Record Offices of the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, aimed at addressing issues faced by veterans and their dependents.
