Summary

The Allahabad High Court (AHC) RO/ARO 2026 recruitment drive by the NTA features a total of 543 vacancies, with applications accepted online from June 1 to June 21, 2026. Eligible candidates must be between 21 and 35 years old, possess a Bachelor’s degree, and hold an approved computer certificate (such as CCC, O-Level, or a CS degree). Following the newly updated selection criteria, the exam structure has transitioned into a clear three-stage evaluation process that eliminates any interview round. Stage I is a 3-hour, 200-mark objective preliminary exam covering General Studies, Hindi, and English with no negative marking. Stage II is a conventional pen-and-paper descriptive Mains exam testing essay, precis, and translation skills for 150 marks. Finally, Stage III requires candidates to clear a 50-mark English computer typing test requiring a minimum speed of 25 WPM. The application fee stands at Rs. 1,200 for General/OBC and Rs. 1,000 for SC/ST/EWS candidates belonging to Uttar Pradesh.

    Eligibility

    Age Limit (as of July 1, 2026): 

    Review Officer (RO) & Assistant Review Officer (ARO): 21 to 35 years.

    Computer Assistant (CA): 18 to 35 years.

    Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/DFF candidates from Uttar Pradesh get a 5-year relaxation; PwD candidates from UP get 15 years.

    Educational Qualification: A complete Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Candidates must have finished their degree before the application closing date (final year students awaiting results are not eligible).

    Technical Skill Mandate (For RO/ARO): In addition to graduation, you must hold one of the following:

    1- A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized institute.

    2- An 'O' Level Certificate from DOEACC/NIELIT.

    3- A 'CCC' (Course on Computer Concepts) Certificate.

    Application Fee

    The application fee varies according to the candidate's category:

    General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 1200-

    SC / ST / EWS Candidates (of Uttar Pradesh): Rs.1000-

    6- Submit & Print: Verify all entry fields, submit the final application form, and download the confirmation page for your records.
