Summary

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in schools affiliated with the state government. HTET 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for HTET 2025 is primarily designed to certify your eligibility for teaching roles in Haryana government schools.

The selection involves the following stages:

Stage 1: The HTET Qualifying Exam

The first step is appearing for the offline OMR-based written examination. There is no interview at this stage; selection is based purely on your performance in the 150-mark test.

Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper).

Qualifying Marks: To "pass" and receive your certificate, you must meet the following minimum cut-offs:

General/OBC/Other State Candidates: 60% (90 out of 150 marks).

SC/PH Candidates (Haryana Domicile): 55% (82 out of 150 marks).

Negative Marking: None.

Stage 2: Biometric Verification & Result

After the exam, the Board (BSEH) releases a list of candidates for Biometric Verification. This is a mandatory security step to prevent fraud. Once verification is complete, the final result is declared, and successful candidates are awarded the HTET Certificate, which is now valid for a lifetime.

Stage 3: Recruitment/Screening (The Final Job)

Qualifying HTET does not automatically give you a job; it makes you eligible to apply for teacher recruitment drives (often called the Screening Exam) conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) or Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).

Notification: The government releases vacancies (e.g., TGT/PRT recruitment).

Screening Test: You must appear for a separate recruitment exam.

Document Verification: Checking your original academic degrees and HTET certificate.

Medical Examination: Final health check-up before the joining letter is issued.
