The 2020 Summer Olympics officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad and branded as Tokyo 2020 scheduled from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan, with 339 events in 33 sports (50 disciplines) of 206 countries . Tokyo was the first city in Asia to hold the Summer Games twice.
The United States topped the medal count by both complete golds (39) and complete medals (113), with China completing second by both respects (38 and 88). India finished at 48th place in Tokyo Olympics after winning seven medals. Miraitowa and Someity (“future” and “eternity.”) is the mascot of the Games.
The Next Summer Games will be in Paris in 2024 and Los Angeles in 2028.
